Christopher Leach moved from Brighton, UK to Vienna in 1998, where he lives and works.

His artistic approach is producing images with a heavily contrasted painterly style - preferring to work with graphite and charcoal on paper and oil on canvas or wooden panels, where surface and structure have become a major focus.

Furthermore, looking at the Vienna skyline has become an interest. Working in a more experimental style, using self-made rubber scrapers, the focus has been to produce cityscape paintings that provoke an intimate, almost silent atmosphere, in contrast to the vibrant and energetic city below.

He has exhibited across Austria, Central Europe and the USA.
